Dear readers.

We are happy to announce we have a new carrier for all our postal
services outside of the Netherlands,TNT Express.
This is a great new service to all our costumers.
TNT Express collects the package and you, our customer gets an email
with the tracking number and a link where he / she can follow his package.
It will look something like this!!

TNT is pleased to advise you that Groove Unlimited has arranged
for a shipment to be collected from them on 25-Jun-2012 ,
and delivered to XXXXXX.
To be able to check the status of the shipment simply visit
with the number you receive
and more detailed information on the consignment will be available.

It is much faster than normal Post.NL.
With Post NL we never knew which service they would use in the
delivering country.
But that is now all in the past. So the benefits:
- You receive an e-mail so the package can be quite easily followed.
- Is faster and more reliable and traceable!

For registered parcels within Europe there are no extra postage costs.
For packages outside of Europe there might be in some cases a $5.00
higher price but for the time being we are going to keep the postal
costs as they are.
So no change other then a much faster and better service!
The more parcels we ship the better conditions we get!!
Mind you this service is only for Registered parcels.

We hope to announce the final line up for E-Live 2012 next E-News.
So keep checking and we also try to get the new E-Live web page online.
Ticket sales will start of at July 1st.

We are also experimenting when to send out E-News.
This issue was send on Monday, normally we send it in the weekend.
But some costumers told me it is getting lost in the big amount of mail
they receive either at home or at work in a weekend.
If you have any comments on this let me know! This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

Loom live in Budapest
Johannes Schmoelling, Jerome Froese & Robert Waters will play live in
Budapest (HUN) on the famous A38 ship, the reincarnation of a Ukranian
stone-carrier ship. With its inauguration on 30 April 2003, it started
a new life
on the Danube in Budapest as a cultural venue. Since its opening it has
become one of Budapest's most important venues, and according to
artists' feedback, one of Europe's coolest clubs.

Sanfilippo, Bruno - Urbs (73923)

Field recordings are the key elements of "Urbs" and "BIOMA", the last
two albums of Bruno Sanfilippo (on "BIOMA" he was joined by his fellow
soundscaper, Max Corbacho). While on "BIOMA" documenting the life of a
nature, on "Urbs" Bruno has decided to focus on everyday's life of a
city, when collecting location recordings from various European
metropoles plus New York by mapping surrounding environments like
train or subway stations, streets, bars, churches... This brand new
album, Bruno's 16th when counting also his collaborations with Mathias
Grassow or above mentioned Max Corbacho, is not only his premiere work
for renowned Hypnos label, but also a quite radical departure from all
his previous works that are spanning from rather ambient/new age
oriented, through deeper organic or cinematic ambience to modern
classical influenced. Bruno Sanfilippo is now venturing with "Urbs"
into more minimal soundscaping with gently portrayed pulsing life of
the city. To be honest, without knowing the name of the artist who is
behind "Urbs", I would never connect it to Bruno Sanfilippo. But don't
be afraid, because this chameleonic change is not only totally
adventurous, but also proving the unlimited creativity and
considerable talent of this sound architect (born in Buenos Aires,
Argentina, but residing in Barcelona, Spain). "Urban Flow" is
perfectly chosen name for opening piece, with dominating colder
on-site recordings of various rumblings, noises, buzzes, creaks or
squeaks, all wrapped by hazed nocturnal atmosphere and masterfully
merged with deeply evocative drones and assorted mesmerizingly or
mysteriously emerging voice and choir samples. Wow, this is absolutely
phenomenal, nearly 15-minute intro!!! Grandioso & mágico, Bruno!!!
Voice transmissions unfold the next piece, "The City Reflected",
clocking over 20 minutes. Deep, nearly ear-bending echoes, various
rumblings, mysteriously odd voices enter the stage as well, everyth
ing harmoniously crafted and bridged, and superbly evoking a place
similar to some underground lively corridor. Cascading sonic palette
is minimal, but intense and maximally effective. "Chaotic Order", a 25
and half minutes long opus reveals with deeper drones, again enriched
by distant conversations and various street rumblings, serenely
drifting before entering during the second third into slightly more
active areas with glitchy and hissy elements invading. The last third
returns to more mysterious and droning course with assorted noises,
breathings and voices on the back. Definitely another deeply absorbing
masterpiece!!! The closing piece, 7-minute "The Gray Umbrella", is
colored by various voice recordings, possibly the most textured sonic
escapade slowly moving towards the end into minimal and quieter,
nearly meditative outro. "Urbs" is stirringly challenging and
refreshing, carefully sculpted and fused into amazingly homogeneous
structure, with strong attention paid to every detail. This album
delivers enormous amount of spectacular listening moments and
transports each listener into magnificently immersing urban
environments. Bravo to Bruno Sanfilippo, bravo to Hypnos!!!

Wouden, Rene van der - Zeppelins! There they go (78958)

RENé VAN DER WOUDEN - Zeppelins! There they go available as CD-R and
Bert Strolenberg's Sonic Immersion review:
On the 78-minute "Zeppelins! There they go", Dutch musician René van
der Wouden offers his listeners five lengthy pieces and one shorter
trip. The adventurous and airy compositions are all inspired by the
great electronic music albums made from 1974 to 1984 beside the magic
realm surrounding the legendary, giant space ships.

Fans of melodic and Berliner-School based music will finds lots of
their liking in the nicely layered and overall spacious synth pads,
catchy sequencing, vintage solo voices, choir textures and sound
effects. Of course, the great sounds of mellotron and vintage organ
also fly by, smoothly fitting to the antique flavour of the albums concept.
One can clearly hear René invested loads of work to get the complex
outcome right, fresh and sparkling. And while each piece evolves and
unfolds in its own pace, one is also part of the composers personal
joy of shaping, re-shuffling and lining up the large range of
ingredients. A few names come to mind when listening to this album:
Rolf Trostel and Tangerine Dream on e.g. the 17-minute title track
opening the album along Klaus Schulze on "Hydrogen".
With "Zeppelins! There they go", Mr van der Wouden made another
notable and firm step ahead: he proves he has the balls to play an
adventurous but also recognizable and much loved style of electronic
music, but executed in his own fashion. Mission well accomplished, René!

Bert Strolenberg

Retro fans will have plenty to appreciate in this, a 2006 release of
music recorded in 1991-92 that sounds at times like vintage
synthesizer music from 1983. Specifically, the computer drumming in
"Night Crossing" sounds like it belongs squarely in the middle of
Klaus Schulze's Audentity album. Bright synth melodies keep pace with
the energetic beats for an invigorating beginning to the album. But
that quickly changes on "Deep Cut," which goes back to Hemisphere's
signature sound, dark ambient atmospheric space music. The late Ralf
Knappe-Heinbockel truly had a sound unlike other EM acts, in his own
unique niche just this side of Berlin school and that side of dark
ambient. "Deep Cut" brightens considerably in its latter half,
sounding more like classic Jonn Serrie planetarium music. "Inner Life"
fades in quickly, immediately up to speed with a light rhythm and
upbeat melodious synths. "Turning Point" is clear as crystal and
smooth as glass as softly tinkling sequencing carries it along. This
one reminds me of Waveshape, a personal favorite. Unlike its namesake,
"Exciting Impression" is a nicely understated number, finding a mellow
groove early and going with the flow, vaguely reminiscent of early
Steve Roach works. "Moments of Darkness" is dark and dank, but with
the usual meandering restless Hemisphere spirit that keeps it from
being merely ambient. After the unusually bright and bouncy "Spirit of
the Age," the 13-minute title track brings us back to formless textures,
alternating bright shimmers with gloomy echoes into the depths, complete
with sounds that spiral downward as machinery seems to churn around it.
This is the characteristic sound that would define Hemisphere on future
albums such as Beyond The Darkness. Destination Infinity is a worthy
exploration of the band's origins along with hints of the all-too-brief future
to come.
