E-LIVE - 23TH OF OCTOBER 2021 !!

E- live is back, on the 23th of October we will have the re-start of this Festival.
In a new location now the Enck is closed. And what a location it is!!

This is one of the birthplaces of Electronic Music in the Netherlands, a science lab of Philips one of the most known electronic firms in those days. This multi purpose building holds Theaters, Film rooms and a great lounge and restaurant that you can chill and talk.

It is right on the outside of the center of Eindhoven, just 10 minutes walk from the Great Market and just 5 minutes from the train station. A great place for the restart of E-Live and E-Day.

We are working hard on the programming of the artist and we hope to announce all infon within 2 to 3 weeks!! I can promise you it will be a great re-start!!
Kraftwerk enter the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Kraftwerk will finally enter the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame after being snubbed by the academy on six other occasions. Artists or bands become eligible for induction into the Hall of Fame 25 years after the release of their first record. The inductees are chosen by an international group of more than 1,200 artists, including current living inductees, historians and members of the music industry.

The nominating committee has proposed Kraftwerk, whose influence over contemporary pop is greater than The Beatles according to some critics, on six occasions. The voting members rejected the Dusseldorf quartet each time.

The omission of the group, whose music provided the building blocks for hip-hop and techno, was particularly glaring given the induction of groups directly inspired by Kraftwerk, such as Depeche Mode!!

The Early Influence Award is given to musicians that have “directly influenced and helped inspire and evolve rock and roll and music that has impacted youth culture”. The class of 2021 will receive their awards at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony in October. In 2021, Kraftwerk will be granted “backdoor entry” with an Early Influence Award.
We have 2 nice Youtube promo's for you to check out.

The first is from the new Beyond Berlin album - Epihany.

A lush warm superb Berlin School album.

A new collaboration of two of the finest EM Musicians from The Netherlands, Rene de Bakker and Martin Peters join in the 3 rd release as Beyond Berlin.. Inspired great analog sequencer based music. The music has it's foundation in the Berlin School of Electronic Music. "We try to go back to the basics when analog synthesizers and step sequencers ruled the electronic music", artists say.
But this is after Totem and Fine Tunes the next leap in their musical conquest. Soaring Leads over multilayerd Sequences, It doesn't get better then this!

And the brand neW album of Johan Tronestam - Cosmic Steps

www.groove.nl CD shop:

Cosmic Steps moves in exactly the same area as the previous album Next Step. Next Step was inspired by the idea of colonizing planets and moons in the Solar System. Cosmic Steps takes us one step further through the concept of interstellar spaceflight. Travelling to other star systems and probably discovering planets that are beneficial to humans is probably still a long way off. Johann Sebastian Bach who is one of my favorite composers died over 270 years ago. Maybe that is the time it takes until we can travel to other stars with the same ease as we put a rover on Mars. But one day, our future civilization will wave to its pioneers who embark on an unbelievably long journey through interstellar space - Fantastic achievements and truly Cosmic steps.

Cosmic Steps is also a concluding album of previous interpretations of the depths of space and man’s dream of colonization.

Cosmic steps was created in studio TeamQuasar on Åland during spring of 2020 to February 2021. The album contains 8 tracks which is about 80 minutes of music. I hope this album provides a musically positive experience and a longing for what is impossible today but probably made possible tomorrow.

GR-902 - V/A GROOVE: - Free Floating Grooves (2021)

We love EM and we love bringing it to everyone! Ron Boots is good for a second try in his Free series. Relying again on the big names of his label, the boss of Groove nl has concocted another album of beautiful and diverse EM where the Netherlands, England and Berlin Schools genres flirt with cosmic music and meditative ambiences. FREE FLOATING GROOVES is filled to the brim with good and beautiful EM. And like with Free Grooves, you can get it for free when you buy 2 physical CDs from the Dutch label. It is also available in download format.

These are arpeggios twirling like sequenced flakes of sounds that Martin Peters throws to our ears to start this second Free edition from the Dutch label. We will remember that it was him who had also initiated the Free Grooves with the giant Sparks. The movement is frivolous with tinkling of limpid chords to which is grafted a line of bass-pulses. Stoic, the flow is almost stationary. Even with the debonair attitude of the sequencer that injects its unruly keys to all winds. This ambient, yet feverish rhythm is contained within its framework set by particularly good synth solos. Solos with lunar harmonies, even with this bucolic tone, which have this analog scent with whistles in both tones. The load of the sequences follows the caresses and arias of these solos that literally guide the harmonic development of Sonic Adventure with electronic dialogues as enchanting as two birds courting each other with passion. An incredibly beautiful track with mirific solos by Martin Peters. Spyra does things differently! SpyriFy - NEUMix Etude K is set to a passionate up-beat with good percussion and percussive effects, including those animated rattlesnake tails
